Rituals · An original short read
A page before the day
A short essay on reading a little before the world gets loud.
A beginning small enough to keep
A reading habit can begin with a single page. Choose a book you already want to return to and leave it somewhere easy to reach. The point is not to earn a streak; it is to make room for a voice other than the day’s notifications.
Read without collecting
Not every sentence needs a highlight. Let the first reading be a conversation rather than a search for extracts. If an idea stays with you after the book is closed, write it down in your own words.
Let a little be enough
Some mornings offer ten minutes; others offer two. A smaller session is still a real encounter with a text. Stop at a place you can find again, and leave yourself a reason to return.
